For many young people the idea of Gap Year travel unaccompanied may pose a major problem, especially if they have never done so before. They may be worried about feeling lonesome and unable to cope with situations by themselves in a strange country a long way from home. Fortunately there are thousands of other young people in exactly the same predicament, and travelling solo in a gap year is an ideal way to meet with other young people and to build confidence. People often meet in hostels, bars, trains, airports and so on. It is much easier to meet people while travelling than it is in South Africa, and in most cases, you will only be alone if you choose to be. Also the ability to cope with new situations will get better over a short period of time as you gain confidence in yourself through each new experience. After a while, you will be booking accommodation on the Internet, travelling long distances and communicating with people in a different language without giving it a second thought.

• Applies to genuine quotes in South African Rand from airlines and South African registered businesses and websites for travel that originates/departs from South Africa.
• Detailed quote must be in writing, must be inclusive of all fees such as taxes, surcharges and service fees and must be presented to us prior to booking.
• Fare must be available and able to be booked by the general public when you bring it to us.
• Fares available due to membership of a group or corporate entity or subscription to a closed group are excluded.
• We may offer you an alternative date/airline to get you the best price, but should you be less flexible we guarantee to better whatever you bring us – apples for apples.
• We will better the price by R20 on domestic airfares and R50 on international airfares.
