Just so you know what you are in for here a few do’s & don’ts of surfing:
DO’s
- Do make sure there are lifeguards close by when going surfing
- Do surf in a group especially if you’re a ‘newbie’
- Do tell a lifeguard where you are going to surf – should you need help, it’ll be close by
- Do put your leash on your back leg
- Do keep your board really straight into the wave when ‘duck diving’
Don’ts
- Don’t Put your leash on until you get to the water
- Don’t try to paddle out the way is there is someone surfing towards you
- Don’t put your board between the wave & yourself
- Don’t surf alone if it is your first time
- Don’t shy if you’re a ‘newbie’
