Youth Summer job

There are two popular venues or destinations for South Africans to take up a youth Summer job – the United States and the United Kingdom, and in both cases you’re going to have to apply for a visa before you even get around to buying your air ticket. Security has been stepped up at all of the world’s international airports in the shadow of 9/11, and as of March this year South African passport holders have to apply for a visa to visit the UK. Perhaps the easier of the two countries to find a youth Summer job though is the United States, and in this respect we have a long time partner in CCUSA (Camp Counselors USA). There is one great advantage of taking a youth Summer job in the USA or UK – unlike the many volunteer jobs we advertise for which there is no remuneration, for a youth Summer job in the USA or UK you get paid. You still have to pay for the job to be arranged for you, but once you’re over there you can expect to make $800 - $1000 a month for working a 40-hour week.

• Applies to genuine quotes in South African Rand from airlines and South African registered businesses and websites for travel that originates/departs from South Africa.
• Detailed quote must be in writing, must be inclusive of all fees such as taxes, surcharges and service fees and must be presented to us prior to booking.
• Fare must be available and able to be booked by the general public when you bring it to us.
• Fares available due to membership of a group or corporate entity or subscription to a closed group are excluded.
• We may offer you an alternative date/airline to get you the best price, but should you be less flexible we guarantee to better whatever you bring us – apples for apples.
• We will better the price by R20 on domestic airfares and R50 on international airfares.
