Egoli Jumpstart terms and conditions
 
  1. Egoli Jumpstart package can only booked/purchased through approved agents.
  2. All agents have to open a trade account with Egoli Group UK in order to sell the Jumpstart package.
  3. A Jumpstart package will only be deemed booked once payment has been made to the agent.
  4. The agent can only sell the Jumpstart package at the suggested retail price as agreed from time to time.
  5. The Jumpstart package does not include a job nor is it in any way an offer of employment. If this type of service is required, please refer to our optional job guarantee service. The registration with a recruitment agency will be with Egoli Recruitment in London only. Information on various other agencies will be given to the client as part of the Jumpstart orientation information. It will be the client's own responsibility to register with these agencies.
  6. The Jumpstart package does not include any accommodation arrangements or bookings nor does its price include any rent or deposit payments. If this type of service is required, please refer to our optional accommodation booking service.
  7. It is the client's responsibility to register at the Egoli office at 286 High Rd, Leyton, London, E10 5PW to redeem the Jumpstart service.
  8. All clients need to have a valid passport as well as the right to work in the UK to qualify for the Jumpstart service
  9. If a client is not living in Egoli accommodation, he/she needs to provide Egoli with a valid proof of UK address. (Please contact the Egoli office for more information)
  10. Jumpstart services cannot be offered to anyone with a criminal record in any country.
  11. The services included in this package are not for sale or valued separately. The charge for this package is an administration charge for setting up and co-ordinating the delivery of these services. The Jumpstart package can only be bought as a complete package and not as separate services.
  12. The Jumpstart package cannot be cancelled after the client has arrived in the UK. It can only be cancelled up to one day before departure for the UK.
  13. The London orientation meetings will be done at set times on weekdays. Time slots will be given to the client on contacting the Egoli office on arrival in the UK.
 

 
Terms and conditions of Accommodation booking:
 
  • Accommodation will be pre-booked for the client who will be moved into a house on arrival in the UK
  • Egoli will allocate an address for the client when an accommodation booking is made
  • If the address is confirmed before arrival in the UK this might be different to the address where the person will move into.
  • Egoli might put the client in temporary accommodation for a short period before moving into permanent accommodation.
  • All Egoli accommodation is in shared houses where the house and/or bedroom will be shared with other Egoli clients.
  • Egoli will adhere to requests of clients that want to move to other Egoli properties and this will be done as time and availability allow.
  • Rent for accommodation is payable weekly in advance and the week runs from Monday through Sunday.
  • If a client moves in mid-week a full week's rent must be paid. The rent for the following week will be payable pro rata through to the following Sunday.
  • A deposit is payable before moving into the house and is equal to the total amount of 2 (two) weeks rent.
  • A key deposit of £5.00 will be payable before a key for the house is given. This will be refunded when the client moves out and hands back the key in good order.
  • The minimum stay is 3 (three) weeks from move in date and thereafter 2 (two) weeks notice is required to move out.
 
Notice
 
  • A notice period of 2 (two) weeks is required when a client wants to move out.
  • Rent must be paid in full up to the move out date.
  • The deposit cannot be utilised for the last two week's rent payment.
  • After inspection of the room and collection of the house and room keys Egoli will refund the deposit in any way the client prefers.
 
Refunds
 
  • Egoli will not refund a deposit if a client moves out on short notice.
A client may replace himself with another person if he wants to leave the house on short notice. As soon as the new client pays the deposit and rent for the room, the original client will be refunded his deposit
 

 
Terms and conditions for Job Guarantee insurance
 
  1. This is not an offer of employment
  2. This is not linked to or underwritten by any UK employer
  3. The job we introduce a client to might not be in his/her field of expertise
  4. The job we introduce a client to is what is on offer and is not negotiable.
  5. The job we introduce a client to might be located anywhere in the UK
 
The jobs
 
  1. Egoli is constantly sourcing available positions with UK employers to ensure a wide range of available jobs.
  2. Egoli will introduce a candidate to jobs that we find them suitable for.
  3. Egoli will arrange interviews and/or placements as time and availability allow and will not commit to an interview on a specific day
  4. Egoli will honour the commitment of the guarantee within the given time frame.
  5. Job guarantee can only be booked in conjunction with the Egoli Jumpstart package
 
Exclusions and waivers
 
  1. Egoli will only accept Job Guarantee bookings for approved clients.
    1. All applicants must submit an application form accompanied by a photo of themselves.
    2. All applicants must be legally allowed to work in the UK
    3. All applicants must be at least 18 years old
    4. All applicants must understand and accept the terms of this service.
    5. Egoli reserves the right to refuse anyone a Job Guarantee without disclosing a reason for this.
  2.  
  3. A client will lose his/her right to claim daily compensation under the following circumstances:
    1. If a client refuses or rejects an interview arranged by Egoli
    2. If a client does not turn up for an interview arranged by Egoli
    3. If a client is unsuccessful in an interview due to their own conduct, eg. being under the influence of drugs or alcohol, not being neat and presentable, naming and/or negotiating his/her own demands with the employer.
    4. If a client rejects a job offer arranged by Egoli
    5. If information on a client's application is found to be untrue
    6. If a client is rejected by an employer because the qualifications, experience and references on the client's application are found to be incorrect and/or untrue.
 
The process
 
  1. Egoli must receive an application form with a photo of the client before a Job Guarantee booking is made.
  2. Once a client is approved for Job Guarantee by Egoli this will be confirmed by e-mail to the agent and the booking process can be finalised
  3. The online booking will be confirmed by means of a booking confirmation generated by the website. This printout or saved document will serve as the purchase confirmation and the client can present this to reception at Egoli in the UK
  4. The client will be guaranteed to have started a job or to have started training for a job within 7 working days of reporting to the Egoli office in London. This is subject to the terms and conditions laid out in "exclusions and waivers" above
  5. The client will be placed in the 1st job he/she is accepted for. The client can continue to search for other employment, but Egoli will only guarantee the 1st job.
 
Cost
 
  1. Job Guarantee insurance will be sold to the agent at a wholesale price agreed between the agent and Egoli on the trade account agreement.
  2. The wholesale price for this service and any other service offered by Egoli might change from time to time and agents will be notified in writing.
  3. This payment is not refundable once the client arrives in the UK
 
Claims
 
When the 7 working day period expires and the client has not started training or started in a job the client can, providing the client has adhered to all the terms and conditions of this service, do the following:
 
  1. Make a claim in writing to Egoli for compensation
  2. The client will have 7 (seven) days from the day the initial 7 days expire to make a claim
  3. If the claim is not submitted within that allowed period, the claim will expire and the client will have no right to claim any compensation
This compensation paid by Egoli is £30.00(GBP) for each working day that the client is not working or not in training for a job. This will be paid by Egoli to the client weekly, on a Friday, for the week gone by. The payments will stop as soon as the client starts his/her first day in a job or training for a job.
